VOLUNTEERS - WE NEED YOU! |

· You might want to be a member of the reception team - helping on with the gallery sales, working alongside our administrators helping with the mountains of envelope stuffing, mailing shots and general office tasks that any small business generates. |
|
|
|
· You might fancy being a gallery steward – we need friendly volunteers who are happy to sit at our stewards tables in the galleries for exhibitions that need a watchful eye on their precious exhibits. So, if you fancy a few hours with a cup of tea, sitting with your book in the surroundings of the galleries – this might be for you. |
|
|
|
· Private View stewards – ‘Meeters’ and ‘Greeters’, bar stewards to serve wine and fruit juices etc and to hand out private view catalogues etc are always needed – it’s a lovely job and fun to meet old and new friends at a social event. |
|
|
|
· Hanging and gallery team - Almost every Sunday, the six gallery spaces roll over to a new show – our enthusiastic team who help with the Hanging, maintenance and care of the gallery are on hand to assist artists prepare for their show – whether it is helping on by making cups of coffee for bolster on the exhibitors strength for the task in hand, or helping out with the hanging of wall art, or repairing the on going dints and bangs in the gallery walls and so on – we love to have helpers on this most practical of days. The hanging and gallery team also help us on selection days for competitions, showing paintings, prints etc to selection panels and generally helping on. |

· The Marketing Team who masterminds the literature and web site for the centre is manned entirely voluntarily by marketing/ direct mail and design specialists. |
|
|
|
· Finally, we are delighted to welcome undergraduate degree students to work on specific event led projects as part of their final degree practical work. We have been delighted to welcome no less than 3 final year students in 2007 to work on secondment on the Hidden Artists event, Sculpture competition and general Gallery care of the Centre’s activities. |
